Customisation is one of the most exciting aspects of Call of Duty, with players spending countless hours attempting to craft the strongest loadouts possible.

This is certainly no different in Modern Warfare 3, with the devs even including a fresh attachment slot called Aftermarket Parts for certain weapons.

These are not your typical attachments, often completely changing the configuration of a gun and how it operates.

In the last update, a new Aftermarket Part arrived for the Holger 556, changing it into a burst weapon. While there was a lot of excitement for the JAK Signal Burst, it's already been slammed as "worthless."

MW3 fans flame "worthless" Holger 556 Aftermarket Part

The JAK Signal Burst is the latest Aftermarket Part to arrive in MW3, completely changing the Holger 556's pattern from full auto to four-round bursts.

Unfortunately, after testing out the fresh attachment, competitors on the ModernWarfareIII subreddit have concluded it's "worthless" due to the heavy recoil it adds to the gun. This makes it extremely hard to land shots on target, especially at mid to long-range.

"You can tell this recoil is gonna be garbage even with max recoil attachments, it's useless when the DG-58 exists," said one user, with another taking aim at all the Aftermarket Parts saying, "Am I the only one who feels like the majority of the aftermarket parts are kind of worthless?

"They were advertised as something game-changing and I feel like only a couple are worth using." There are some users who are defending the attachment, arguing it's a "skill issue" if someone cannot control kickback, but ultimately, if the recoil is significant, the burst Holger 556 is unlikely to see much play.

Want to test out the attachment for yourself and make your own mind up? Well, you'll need to unlock the JAK Signal Burst first.

Luckily, the process is extremely simple and just requires you to complete five daily challenges and activate the attachment unlock in the armoury.

Following this, you can test out the burst Holger 556 in your matches and see if it fits your playstyle. While some fans dislike its recoil, loadouts always come down to personal preference, so don't hesitate to try it out.
