Modern Warfare 3 has really leant into the Shipment vibe, as Sledgehammer Games has continued to whip up some neat and small recipes like a fine tapas meal.

With a mix of reliable treats and some newer original maps, the bite-sized menu has become delicious.

But there's always one bad egg. The discard gherkin on the quarterpounder. And for Modern Warfare 3, that sour apple is Terminal.

MW3 fans have all turned on Terminal

Now Terminal might not be your first port-of-call when classifying it as a "small map" but considering its popularity, play rate, and size compared to others, Redditors have slipped this map into poll position on the most-hated list.

In a thread looking at the likes of Shipment, Scrapyard, and even Highrise, fans all turned on Terminal, hating just how "random" it is.

"This may sound controversial and everyone might hate me, but I despise Terminal," said one fan. "There’s that feeling where you’re always being watched by some guy with an LMG or a sniper rifle, and 99% it’s correct, i can see that many people love it for being frenetic, but I hate the randomness of that map."

A second fan added, "Terminal used to be my favourite map during MW2 back in the day, but now I can't stand it."

In fact, in the thread, Terminal received over 30 scathing criticising comments, most of which described it to be "random", "chokepointy", and "spammy".

Most players did reflect on how much they enjoyed Terminal back in the day, through their pairs of rose-tinted glasses, but concluded that the speed of the games nowadays and the questionable squad spawn system have ruined this once iconic map.

"Terminal is perhaps one of the most overrated maps in CoD history. Too many places to hide, too many spots to spawn trap, and not enough ways from ground to upper that aren’t a straight bottleneck," a third fan said.

Highrise, on the other hand, has been very well received despite having been the more questioned map when MW3 first launched.
