Movement has been a hot topic in the lead-up to Modern Warfare 3, with Sledgehammer’s next instalment in the franchise bringing back advanced mechanics like slide-canceling.

This fast-paced and high-octane gameplay may suit a lot of Call of Duty fans, but for others, it’s extremely intimidating.

It can often feel like there’s a huge skill gap between those who have mastered mobility, and other players who just run around in the standard fashion.

Well, the devs are looking to address this in MW3, with a Training Course that’s designed to improve players’ movement skills.

MW3 will have a movement Training Course

As showcased by the popular Call of Duty account TheGhostOfHope, Modern Warfare 3 will feature a movement Training Course.

This is designed to aid "solo" players to get to grip with basic movements and combat skills, before they jump into the fast-paced multiplayer.

It'll be interesting to see how they lay out the course and the various obstacles available for players to practice on.

Hopefully, there's a direct tutorial on how to slide cancel, as that would a brilliant stepping stone for casual CoD fans who want to improve their movement mechanics.

MW3 fans celebrate Training Course as an "amazing" addition

Instead of throwing casual players into the deep end with MW3's movement, Sledgehammer has clearly thought ahead and made a plan to aid the community.

This addition has been celebrated as "amazing" by players, who clearly appreciate the chance to refine their skills and learn the basics before heading into multiplayer.

"This is actually amazing," said one user, with another claiming "This is how it should be, instead of removing s**t, add ways for players to work on specific skills."

If the Training Course has tutorials on advanced movement mechanics, it may be one of MW3's best features. However, if it's been rushed and only contains a few obstacles, it'll likely be forgotten a week after release.
