2K's legacy continues in basketball in 2025 with the next instalment of its famed NBA series officially announced.

NBA 2K25 is on the way, and it has now been showcased for the first time, as A’ja Wilson, Vince Carter, and Jayson Tatum are set to champion the franchise as it rolls out new innovations for its staple MyTeam and MyCareer modes, PC parity, and upgrades for current-gen players.

A’ja Wilson, Vince Carter, and Jayson Tatum star as NBA 2K25 covers

As always, NBA 2K champions the best talent in the world on the cover of the games, and for the first time in the franchise's history, a WNBA star will feature on the cover of the title.

Finals MVP A’ja Wilson will see her likeness be the face of the NBA 2K25 WNBA Edition, a GameStop Exclusive Edition available in North America.

Wilson will also join Boston Celtics' Jayson Tatum on the cover of the All-Stars Edition on NBA 2K25, after both enjoying monumental seasons in their respective leagues.

For those who enjoy the Hall of Fame edition, eight-time All-Star team inductee and dunk legend, Vince Carter, will see his legacy be imprinted on the cover.

NBA 2K35 announces PC parity, new game modes, and current-gen upgrades

Having always lagged behind somewhat, PC is on the way towards having a level court, as NBA 2K25 introduces mode parity between PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

NBA 2K25 will see the realism-heavy ProPLAYTM technology be rolled out, alongside access to modes like MyNBA, The W, and The City.

All players will also be able to enjoy new updates to MyCareer and MyTeam, and new-gen users can experience a sixth era in MyNBA with a new city to explore.

Not to fear if you're a current-gen player though, you won't be left behind. NBA 2K is also brining through an "all-new Neighborhood metropolis" which will be flush with quests and rewards.

The Standard Edition will be available for £69.99 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, £59.99 on PC, and £49.99 on Nintendo Switch.
