Netflix Geeked Week

Netflix's Geeked Week has packed a whole host of announcements, meaning it can be tough to work out where to start.

From updates on projects we already knew about, to some very cool surprises, Netflix served up plenty for gamers this time around - including actual games. We've already seen things like the heartwarming Remarkable Life of Ibelin documentary revealed, and we know a Gundam series is coming next month, but Netflix has still sprung plenty of surprises.

The biggest surprises of Netflix Geeked Week

Alongside the inevitable Stranger Things Season 5 and Squid Game Season 2 news, one of the biggest reveals was a brief Cyberpunk 2077 teaser promising a "Return to Night City".

While we don't know if it'll tie into Edgerunners, the (excellent) anime that sort of wrapped up its story nicely, it's exciting we'll seemingly be heading back into CDPR's world.

There's more from the Polish studio, too, with a new clip for The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep, an animated movie landing on Netflix in February 2025. Even better, it stars ol' Geralt himself, Doug Cockle.

Arcane's final three acts will land on November 9, 16, and 23, too, meaning we're just weeks away from reconnecting with the League of Legends cast.

The streaming giant also confirmed a Magic The Gathering animated series is in development with Star Trek: Picard writer Terry Matalas attached as showrunner, while Liev Schreiber will play Sam Fisher in an animated Splinter Cell adaptation.

We'll also get to see Devil May Cry in anime form, and it looks true to the over-the-top nature of the Capcom series if this short trailer is anything to go by. It launches in April 2025.

We also got a full trailer for the Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft animated series which debuts next month.

Finally, Netflix isn't giving up on gaming. The company is adding Street Fighter IV: Champion Edition and Civilization VI to its game library, with Monument Valley 3 being a Netflix exclusive on December 10.

The Squid Game battle royale, dubbed Unleashed, is expected later this year.
