New CDL Blueprints are both amazing and awful

The new Call of Duty League blueprints are splitting opinions, as fans can';t decide whether they're the best or worst yet.

They've finally done it. Four years after the Call of Duty League franchising format was formed, the developers have eventually allowed the 12 teams to design their own camos and weapon blueprints to be added to a game.

Fans of the CDL teams will know that their weapon camos have been sub-par for years, and after seeing what can be possible via the in-game store, the teams have been feeling perplexed about their representation within the game they pioneer.

But, having become a symbol of sweatiness in Call of Duty, a new batch of team-made CDL blueprints are now arriving. Although they look nice, there's quite a lot of clap back against the bundles.

Twelve new Call of Duty League bundles are coming to Modern Warfare 2

Call of Duty has now announced that 12 new weapon blueprints will be coming to Modern Warfare 2 on May 2, ahead of the fifth and final Major of the CDL season, with teams' own branding employees designing the camo themselves.

Each team will have their own bundle, which is also complemented by player signature stickers. In comparison to other CDL skins, these new blueprints are rather different.

Blueprints will be restricted to only the Vaznev SMG, with the camo's designed specifically for that gun and the pro-tuned weapon attachments reflecting the individual teams' choices used in pro matches.

The new CDL bundles are dividing opinions

Fans have quickly quizzed why the camos are restricted to just the Vaznev, and the LA Thieves even leaned into this with the usual joke that "Subs are blessed".

With fans wanting the same for their TAQ-56 or FJX Imperium, the long-distance stans feel quite left out. It's also opened a can of worms to see whose design is the best, with CDL sweethearts OpTic Texas' design being somewhat basic in comparison to that of the Boston Breach.

If you're a sub and fancy nabbing your favourite team's design - or even just like the look of a new team's design like Seattle Surge - there's plenty to choose from. It just sucks if you're an AR main...
