Attention all hill kittens, super soakers, and other likeminded objective players, you're all about to make sweet surrender as the latest Modern Warfare 3 map will have you wet wet wet.
6 Star is set to be added to MW3 on April 3, and while it won't be the headline act of the update given Rebirth Island's revival, the support act has already gathered quite a lot of groupies from its album cover.
But those hopeful that 6 Star can be the Raid re-gen that it looks like might be left a bit down in the dumps, as the Hardpoint rotations will get you soaked in anger.
New 6-Star map will have Hardpoint players wet through
Already, 6 Star has shown promise of being a great multiplayer map, with shades of Black Ops 2's Raid in it, in terms of its layout. The design is typically three-laned and has a middle courtyard enclosed by two buildings, a circular area down the left, and a pool area down the right flank.
But the latter portion of the map looks to be quite a problem, as the Hardpoint rotations have shown that one hill will be directly within the pool.
Water combat has infuriated players over the years, and given that Trophy Systems can't work underwater too, this hill appears to be a major flaw to what could be an all-time great.
MW3 players fearful 6-Star has already been ruined
Given that Hardpoint is a key component of Ranked Play, many players who are familiar with Raid and saw the promise in 6-Star dubbed it as an immediate candidate to bolster the map and mode pool for MW3.
But since seeing the pool objective point, fans are immediately fearing the worst.
"They just had to go and ruin it didn't they," said one disappointed player.
Another added, "I think they took the term “Super Soaker” too seriously".
Only the likes of Shotzzy will be pleased to see this hill, but for the large majority of players, this could be enough to place the map straight into D-Tier.
