If you ever fancied becoming an Apex Legends professional alongside the legend that is Nick "NICKMERCS" Kolcheff, now is your time, as the iconic battle royale superstar has opened up a spot on his Apex Legends Global Series (ALGS) competing trio to a "small streamer".

The final spot in his tournament team comes as big boots to fill though, replacing a multi-FPS champion, as the former TSM Apex Legends professional turned Halo World Champion, Eric "Snip3down" Wrona, has stepped away from this team to seemingly put all of his eggs in the Halo basket once more.

NICKMERCS Searches For New ALGS Trio As Snip3down Leaves

Since ditching the Call of Duty world, specifically Warzone, NICKMERCS has set his sights on conquering Apex Legends, and after quickly achieving Apex Predator status, he has since reignited his love affair with esports and begun to compete in the ALGS.

However, despite dominance on the Ranked playlists, he has yet to find much joy in the ALGS, having changed his trio just a few weeks prior to the Global Series' second split. Having been playing with current bronze medalist, Snip3down, and MFAM graduate "Deedz", NICKMERCS revealed that he now won't be competing with the current FaZe Clan Halo star, who was recently juggling two esports careers.

Having been searching for a new third, NICKMERCS has now said he doesn't fancy having another seasoned veteran like Snip3down, and instead is looking for a "hungry" rising star with a small community.

NICKMERCS Reveals He Wants A 'Hungry Small Streamer' For His ALGS Team

Talking to his viewers, Nick discussed who he fancied selecting for his ALGS heats, and instead of going for another big name, he revealed he is searching for a rising star. "I just really want somebody who just really wants to be here. Not anybody who’s like [in it for] conversation and sh*t. I need that real passion. That’s why it’s always kinda good to find people who are not big yet because they’re hungry," he said.

"You need passion… they don’t build them like me no more. You gotta find people who really really want it… I know Deeds wants it, I know it in my heart. We gotta find one more," NICKMERCS continued.

The streamer did identify a new third man in "Lewds", with who he competed in the first circuit of the ALGS 2022 Split 2.

That trio fell just short of making the finals of the first circuit, which leads to a spot against the best teams in the world, having finished twelfth in their semi-final lobby. Two bottom-two finishes were contrasted with second-place ranking across the five games, finishing just three points off a place in the finals.

Despite the result, that inconsistency may yet be ironed out with more games. That is, unless, another snappy small streamer finds their way into the team.
