The MW2 & Warzone 2 Season 5 art shows an Operator holding the Black Ops 1 FAMAS, hinting the OG weapon could be coming back.

With Season 4 Reloaded well underway in Warzone 2 and MW2, the focus for fans has now turned towards the upcoming Season 5 update.
While the devs have remained tight-lipped on the major patch for now, the Season 5 key art was recently revealed, and it's given us some hints about what's coming.
Alongside confirmation that Graves is alive and that Al Mazrah is going to be set on fire, we also got a glimpse of an OG weapon. In the hands of one of the Operators, players noticed a gun from Black Ops 1 that may be coming back in MW2 & Warzone 2 Season 5.
Black Ops 1 FAMAS may be coming back in MW2 Season 5
Taking to Twitter on July 26, popular Call of Duty account ModernWarzone posted a picture of the weapon in the key art. They asked their followers, "Does this look more like the FFAR from Black Ops Cold War or the FAMAS from Black Ops 1 to you?"
The resounding answer from players is that the gun in the key art is the classic Black Ops 1 FAMAS, which has got a lot of fans excited. Bringing back a beloved OG weapon from the past is a guaranteed way to please the community, and players have been calling for a new burst weapon for a while.
However, it's possible the gun is the FFAR or even possibly a new AR or Battle Rifle, we'll just have to wait for Season 5 to find out.
Does MW2 & WZ2 Season 5 have a release date?
While the devs haven't announced an official release date for Season 5, the end of the Battle Pass indicates the patch will launch on August 2, 2023.
This means fans won't have to wait long before they can jump into all of the new content, and likely find out more about MW3. As for the weapon in the key art, let's hope Activision is taking us on a trip down memory lane by bringing the Black Ops FAMAS back into the meta.
