PlayStation’s PS Plus might have started as a competitor to Xbox’s Game Pass, but now it seems to have slid into a realm of its own. The pair have become their own champions for each side of the console war, and now rather than trying to coax new players onto a console for its wide-reaching offerings, they’re now just a charming means for fans to touch on some of the essentials that each gaming powerhouse can offer.

And now, though many have considered PS Plus a wannabe Game Pass since its launch, it looks to be introducing some very exciting plans.

Classic Rockstar and Konami games rumoured for PS Plus launch

One fan has pointed out a very interesting detail about a porting company’s output that seems to imply that some classic titles could be making their way to PS Plus in the near future.

Reddit user TURB0_THUNDER has taken to the GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit to show fans that Implicit Conversations, a company that has made a name for itself by building the emulator that PlayStation uses to bring its classic games to the PlayStation 4 and 5, has listed all of its clients on its site. Sound boring? We promise, it isn’t.

The company's listing features many games that have made it to PlayStation via their services, and most of them have come to PS Plus. The only exceptions to this rule so far are games by Rockstar Games, Konami and Cyan Games. Interesting.

Fans theorise on the next classics to come to PS Plus

Gang members rally for a scrap in The Warriors.

God please just give me The Warriors and Manhunt back on the PlayStation Store,” says one comment in response to the suggestion that more classics could be on the way.

Silent Hill 1, Origins, Shattered Memories & Bloody Roar 1 & 2 for Konami. I know it's on the Requiem Collection but also through Symphony of the Night in for good measure,” predicts another user. “As for Rockstar, I'd Personally love the Midnight Club games.

Whatever comes next to PS Plus’ Classics collection, we’re willing to bet that fans will be all over it, especially if it brings them closer to playing everything that Rockstar has to offer. Those GTA fans are nuts.
