Pokemon Legends: Arceus Players Are Obsessed With Mr Mime

While Mr Mime is a regular of the original 151 Pokemon, it turns out players can't get enough of his new quirks in Pokemon Legends: Arceus.

Game Freak isn't "clowning" around with Pokemon Legends: Arceus, as this blast from the past goes back further than ever before for a trip to Feudal Sinnoh. The Hisui region has plenty of familiar faces, with 242 of those adorable Pocket Monsters to catch from all eight generations.

From Gen I's Pikachu to Gen VII's Rowlet and new additions like Wyrdeer, it's a love letter to the franchise's past. Still going strong all these years later, it turns out you can't get enough of Mr. Mime. And no, we don't mean the creepy Mime Jr. prevolution, we just want the classic entertainer.

Why Do Arceus Players Love Mr. Mime?

With a new game, there are new animations to enjoy, and with Pokemon Legends: Arceus being the closest we're going to get to an open-world Pokemon game, it means you can sneak up on 'Mon without them knowing. Observing them in the wild allows you to see them act in their natural habitat.

Over on Twitter, gamers can't get enough of Mr. Mime's adorable animations. In particular, someone pointed out that when you approach, Mr. Mime will sit down and pour itself an invisible cup of tea. There's been plenty of love for Mr. Mime, with one fan writing, "I'm going to say this in the least bias way possible legends Arceus is by far the best pokemon game we have ever gotten like Mr mime using its barriers outside of battle and don't even get me start on the idle animation it is just fresh."

Still, Mr. Mime and Mime. Jr. appear to be two of the most polarising additions to the game. A Mime-hater added, "Mr. Mime is an affront to God's creation of Man in his own image. I would love nothing more than to hold the nailgun from Quake to his smooth pink temple and fire until my forearms twitch. And thanks to the Pokémon Legends: Arceus mod community, this should be possible by April."

What Is The Best Arceus Pokemon?

Mr. Mime has its own mission with the frustrating Back-Alley Mr. Mime quest, and if you best this pink performer, you'll be rewarded with two doses of Aux Guard. Yes, we might love Mr. Mime, but it's hardly going to be a staple of your fearsome roster to help you get the first 241 and then snatch the legendary Arceus for yourselves.

The debate between the "best" Pokemon to have on your team will likely rage from the moment you decided on your starter - it should obviously be Cyndaquil. Alongside the mythical Dialga and Palkia, other heavy hitters are Garchomp, Gyrados, Togekiss, and Luxray. Then again, none of the above shouldn't be too surprising. It's always a matter of opinion, and if you want Mr. Mime to be your main, we say go for it.
