With Terminus being the biggest map Zombies has ever had, maybe there's room for eight players after all.

Terminus Island is set to be one of the biggest maps in Call of Duty Zombies history in terms of mass area, given that you will be able to take a boat out of the caves and bounce through the choppy ocean in the surrounding areas.

So, maybe with so much space, it might take more than the usual quartet of players to defend against the undead and try and escape this mass revival outbreak. Well, you might be getting just that, as a popular game mode from the Zombies archives is apparently "100%" coming back.

Grief mode set to arrive in Black Ops 6 Zombies

According to popular Call of Duty Zombies personality "Glitching Queen", Grief is confirmed to be coming to Black Ops 6 as a game mode.

Grief is a mode that has only appeared once in the Call of Duty series, having featured in Black Ops 2. For those who might never have graced it, the mode pits two teams of Zombie slayers together in the same location as they try to outlast the other.

The "griefing" comes in the form of taking the map's limited wonder weapons, locking the other squad out of key features like pack-a-punch, collecting power-ups for your squad only, or leading trains of undead right towards your foes.

The mode supported up to eight players in Black Ops 2, with teams of up to four, which could be perfect for Terminus. "This is from a source that told me the Jetgun was coming to B06 Zombies back in February and I was like whaaaat. And they did add it to Liberty Falls," added Glitching Queen.

Zombies is reportedly getting a wealth of game modes that differ from the standard way to play, with Treyarch already confirming that there will be an Easter-egg-friendly mode that will walk you through the main quest of the main maps before capping you off at round 15.

There's also rumoured to be a "classic mode" or a "classic map" that will strip Zombies back to basics, just as it was in games like Black Ops 2. It appears Grief is joining a healthy list of Zombies variations this year.
