The MW3 Beta has kicked off and as expected, the main focus for every Call of Duty fan is building the strongest loadout possible.
While the MCW and the MTZ-556 have stood out as the best long-range options, what do you pick when it comes to SMGs?
Well, you could spend hours experimenting with all the attachments and setups until something sticks, or you could listen to an expert.
Luckily, MW3 guru WhosImmortal has found a powerhouse SMG loadout that can truly takeover matches in the MW3 Beta.
Deadly Striker SMG loadout is a powerhouse in MW3
Attachments
- Optic: MK. 23 Reflector
- Stock: Lachmann MK2 Light Stock
- Rear Grip: Tacgrip
- Underbarrel: Chewk Angled Grip
- Barrel: Striker Recon Long Barrel
For WhosImmortal, the Striker may be the "best gun in the game" at the moment, with the SMG absolutely dominating the close-range meta.
Unlike the highly mobile Rival-9, the Striker can actually hold its own at mid-range, making it extremely versatile. This means you won't be caught off-guard by pesky AR users from afar, as it's effectively a "do it all" style SMG.
If that wasn't enough, the Striker bears so many similarities to the OG UMP45 from MW2 (2009). As a result, the nostalgia factor hits hard when you're running around the remastered Estate, Favela, and Skidrow maps.
Unlike the classic UMP45 though, the Striker iron sight is not as clean, so we recommend you run the MK. 23 Reflector so all your shots hit the mark.
How to play with Striker in MW3
In multiplayer with an SMG, aggression will always be the key to success and racking up countless kills. Staying in one location will result in you being picked off by an enemy in an instant.
Make use of the Striker's mobility and devastating TTK, but if you do want to lock down an area, make sure you're posted in a power position.
The Striker's ability to compete at mid-range gives you that option, but more often than not, you should be hunting down foes in your games.
No matter what your playstyle is, the Striker is a top-tier choice in the MW3 Beta, and will likely be a brilliant meta contender at launch.
