Warzone 2 is finally here, and it has certainly arrived in style. Fans love the new Call of Duty battle royale experience - praised as a refreshing turn away from Caldera that takes players even further into the era heralded by Modern Warfare 2.

There's a lot to love in the new Warzone 2.0, even aside from the fact that we have a brand-new Al Mazrah map to explore, die-hard players are especially fond of proximity chat.

Warzone Fans Are Loving The New Proximity Chat

Warzone has been flipped on its head completely, and it's all thanks to one simple feature - the ability for players to speak to other players when they're in close proximity to them.

The battle royale's launch has come with lots of love, but sharp-shooters have taken to this feature with serious affection. Namely, it's the ability to make your foes beg for mercy or negotiate terms of escape completely changing the way a match plays.

Warzone is no longer a game that requires immediate aggressive reaction, but instead, can be played with the gift of the gab as a secret hidden message.

Proximity chat is a popular addition to games in the form of mods, with it drastically changing the way that Among Us works. Now, it looks like Warzone 2.0 is the next game to exemplify the impact of the feature.

Players Are Creatively Using Prox Chat In Warzone 2.0

Already, fans are making the most of the feature, and are using it to their advantage to make new pals and make enemies suffer. Using it to his advantage, Jack "CouRage" Dunlop taunted his rivals.

"Let's be friends, I promise I won't kill you. This is my first time ever playing this," says a CouRage superfan. Dunlop then invites them over saying "We won't kill you, come to our building."

Of course, it's a trap, as CouRage yells, "Welcome to Warzone 2, b*tch," denies their request to join the squad, takes them out with an AK-47, and then laughs for a full 12 seconds.

Aydan "Aydan" Conrad called it the best part of Warzone 2.0, as did FaZe Swagg, YouTuber Westie, and Anthony "Methodz" Zinni. The notoriously critical Dr Disrespect concluded, "Proximity chat is gonna be on a whole other level"

Even though we expected relief when merging to a new Warzone experience, this is a truly unpredictable buff for the game. We'll certainly take it.
