Rainbow Six is one of the more long-standing tactical FPS games around, being the first to conquer the console world when the likes of Counter-Strike had a grip on the point-and-click genre.

Nonetheless, nowadays, there are a lot of competitors that need squatting.

And that’s exactly what Ubisoft looks to be cooking up, as it is set to deploy a new Operator into Siege that completely mimics that of an upcoming game.

Rainbow Six’s leaked Operator copies Spectre Divide

Already, promising tactical round-based games have faltered at the footsteps of R6’s mountain; Rogue Company to start the list. But VALORANT is now making the climb, and FragPunk will be releasing in 2025 alongside Shroud’s new title Spectre Divide.

The latter has an ingenious method of madness though, which has left Rainbow Six wanting to copy and paste it into their own game.

Forward comes the new Operator, who has been leaked as a wheelchair-confined tech-savvy engineer.

The unnamed character won’t enter the battlefield herself but rather will deploy her own bots to infiltrate and defend buildings.

Just like Spectre Divide’s whole concept, the new Operator appears to be able to pivot between two robots under her control - while in control of one, the other will be hiding behind a shield.

So Spectre Divide but in Siege,” one fan commented on Twitter.

Spectre Divide’s whole selling point is that each of the three characters has a puck to throw which spawns a duo, allowing you to flick between the two to defend and attack different areas.

The new season also mocks Shroud’s game, naming itself "Operation Twin Shells".

While it is common for games to overlap - take the BRs for example that are slowly morphing into carbon copies of each other - the timing of this Operator is uncanny, coming just three weeks after Spectre Divide was announced.

Seige is hoping to continue beating down opposition games and sitting firmly atop the console tactical FPS genre, and the bot-eat-bot attitude might be exactly what it needs.
