We've not had an update this broken for quite some time, if it all ever, as Season 1 Reloaded was full of holiday hangovers.

From delays to MW3 Ranked, a broken map, disabling the Nuke Quest, and a loadout glitch so formidable that Warzone became unplayable, there was very very little to enjoy.

Now, all appears to be fine and hunky-dory after Raven Software worked overtime to fix the issues, but it has now come out and apologised for what it did release.

Warzone developers apologise for broken Season 1 Reloaded update

Yesterday, the developers took to social media to actively apologise for the Season 1 Reloaded update, claiming that it has better standards than what was released.

"We - as devs - love this game and apologize for the disruption that resulted from these events," Raven Software said on Twitter. "Please know that we hold ourselves to a high standard and yesterday’s issues did not align with that."

"We unfortunately encountered a conflict between live player data and our servers. We rallied studio teams from around the world to get these issues resolved as swiftly as possible."

Less than 24 hours after launch, the problems were all fixed, as Ranked Play was set live in Modern Warfare 3 and a hotfix was rolled out that repaired the Warzone map and reactivated the Champions Quest Nuke run.

Warzone devs pledge to up the standards in future updates

Still, an apology isn't quite enough for Raven Software, as it has now pledged to maintain, and even up, the standards it usually upholds.

"With that said, we’re also very excited for what’s ahead and look forward to bringing the best we can to Warzone!"

As to what's "ahead", well, Rebirth Island has now been teased again by developers ahead of its release this year, as Resurgence is set to take over Warzone in 2024.
