Tarsier Studios, the studio behind the Little Nightmares duology, is dialling up the horror as it announces its newest title on the way: Reanimal.

The studio released the first two Little Nightmares games in 2017 and 2021, but the third title in the soon-to-be trilogy has been handed off to Supermassive Games (the devs behind games like Sackboy and Until Dawn).

However, Tarsier is coming back swinging, as Reanimal looks to be everything fans remember from Little Nightmares...and then some.

Reanimal is the latest horror-adventure title coming from Tarsier Studios

Revealed at Gamescom 2024, Reanimal slips into the 'cosy games' genre, but rather than enjoying this one with some warm fuzzy socks, you might want to grab an extra blanket to cower behind.

Developed for new-generation consoles (Xbox Series S|X, PlayStation 5, and PC), Reanimal follows a pair of very small antagonists as they traverse an island filled with huge beasts and extremely creepy figures. These monsters use the darkness away from your characters' headlights to jump out and smash through walls to attack.

The protagonists are a young brother and sister who will be floating through their imaginary hell, saving friends from the threats of these ghastly monsters.

While this is a Tarsier game, it won't fall under the Little Nightmares banner and Reanimal will be a title standing on its own.

Reanimal doesn't yet have a release date, but it can now be placed on a Steam Wishlist and can be played by up to two players in a local setting.
