Rebirth Island is causing major issues for its Warzone revival

Rebirth Island isn't hitting the ground running like it was supposed to, and apparently, the Resurgence map's return has caused some major issues in Warzone already.

It was supposed to be like a phoenix rising from the ashes that it left behind, but Rebirth Island hasn't quite spread its wings and appears to be nothing but a nostalgic gimmick.

That's the consensus from a lot of the devoted Warzone community, who have quickly jumped on the hate bandwagon and pointed their snipers at the map. All that Rebirth Island has achieved so far in Warzone is to point out more flaws in the battle royale title.

Rebirth Island dubbed 'a clustered mess'

Straight off the bat, Warzone Season 3 was filled with bugs and glitches, with players getting randomly banned and others being locked out of the app entirely.

But after two days of the map being live, everyone and their pet Snoop Dogg has had the chance to give it a go. Underwhelmingly, Warzone streamer Hector "Repullze" Torres has summed up what everyone else is thinking, dubbing the map "a clustered mess." It's especially evident in Ranked.

Speaking on Twitter, the streamer said, "Rebirth as a map is def not intended for ranked and plays out like a clustered mess. Nothing competitive about it."

He also continued to speak on the casual side of things, adding, "Rebirth pubs [definitely] feels a lot slower than before. Could be we’ve accustomed our brains to Vondel pacing so coming down to 45 players feels really slow."

Rebirth Island is highlighting flaws elsewhere in Warzone

It is not just Rebirth Island itself that has become an issue either, as it also points out other flaws in the portfolio of maps, specifically Urzikstan.

"Really disappointed for my BR peeps out there. Kinda seems like they’re shoving resurgence in people's faces with minimal to no updates for BR. Both should have their ability to thrive," Repullze added.

This sentiment was also echoed by "IcemanIsaac", who added, "Exactly my thoughts too. Honestly, they could give Urzikstan 125 players and that's all I'd want for the entire season. The map is just too barren right now."

It sadly looks like yet another case of Warzone players holding onto unrealistic expectations of the nostalgic past, but either way, Rebirth Island doesn't quite seem to be the legend that it once was.
