Despite being one of the most innovative games of the last decade, Red Dead Redemption 2, hasn't had the fate many had hoped it would. The hyper-realistic cowboy-and-tuberculosis simulator made a splash on arrival, and with many calling it one of the greatest titles the medium has produced, it left a lasting legacy

Sadly, that legacy is petering out, with a declining playerbase and a severe lack of sustenance for Red Dead Online players. The slow decline in content is a point of serious upset for many fans, and the dedicated still wish that things were different. So, how about a refresh with 22 new missions for Red Dead Redemption 2?

Modder Shtivi has brought to life hopes that Rockstar would help bolster its cowboy caper. They've added a huge wealth of missions to Red Dead Redemption 2.

The mod is titled RDR Contracts and introduces a new means of playing the game, with new auto-generated bounty hunter-style missions that see players hunting down assassination targets. Similar to how GTA Online regularly adds new content, this is effectively RDR2's answer to it.

"Over 22 different mission scenarios with hundreds of possible variations, difficulty levels, challenges and locations!" reads the game's page on Nexus Mods.

Not only is this going to fill the time of die-hards, but it's a brand-new means of earning some extra loot too. It's a real treat to see that there's much more to do in a game that many feel has been left to die as Rockstar turns it attention to GTA 6

How can I play the new RDR 2 missions?

If you want to get a hold of the new bounties in Red Dead Redemption 2, all you have to do is give the mod a download on its Nexus Mods page.

This sadly means that the new missions are exclusive to PC, but here's hoping that better mod support could come to console in the future in place of content from Rockstar. Yeah, good luck with that one.
