As the Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) 2024 season turns to its final straight and the London Major comes to a climax, the future of the esport remains unconfirmed as BLAST looks to kick on from its debut season with a bigger and better calendar for 2025..

But the looming World Championship won't be the end of the action.

Psyonix has now announced its entrance into the FIFAe World Cup, which will serve as a brand-new community tournament throughout the RLCS off-season.

Rocket League enters the FIFAe World Cup

With the World Championship ending in September, Psyonix has now revealed that Rocket League will be taking part in the FIFAe World Cup.

This will see rosters be formed off nationalities, representing their home countries.

While some rosters need little thinking, with the likes of Amine "itachi" Benayachi and Samy "dralii" likely to team for Morocco, other countries like France and USA will have some stern competition for places in the elite three spots.

So far, this is no prize pool announced, and there has yet to have been a date announced either.

These tournaments will also compliment the Esports World Cup - a usual format supporting international rosters such as the multi-regional M80 boasting players from Morocco, USA, and Netherlands - which takes place before Worlds in August and will champion a range of international rosters in Saudi Arabia's $60million festival.

The Shift Summer League will also be a chance for teams to get in reps before Worlds, with invites going out to the top teams in both Europe and North America.

Typically, a Rocket League off-season is brimming with drama and rostermania changes where these community events will be a fantastic opportunity for some new teams to showcase their talent and try out for some stellar new lineups.
