It's happening, it's really happening. The future of gaming is here, as Rockstar Games has confirmed that the trailer for the next Grand Theft Auto is just around the corner.

While GTA V has kept us fed with its constant GTA Online updates since 2013, we're more than ready for our next course. GTA 6 is poised to be the video game of all time, and considering we know nothing about it, that's quite the achievement. So, prepare to have your socks blown off.

GTA 6 trailer is coming on December 5

The official Rockstar Games account tweeted, confirming that the GTA 6 trailer (or whatever the game will be called) will drop at 9am ET on December 5. This means it'll land at 2pm UK time on December 5, so set your alarms while you remember.

With the GTA 6 announcement going on to break records as the most-liked gaming tweet of all time, we dread to think what this news will do - let alone when the trailer actually debuts. Place your bets on what we'll see, although there are already leaks galore if you know where to loook.

It's interesting that the announcement poster uses the same pastels at GTA: Vice City, throwing more fuel on the fire that GTA 6 will return to a modernised Vice City. If that wasn't enough, we're told the December 5 reveal will be for "Trailer 1."

The annual Game Awards is on December 7, and as the last big showcase of the year, it's Geoff Keighley's chance to show what's coming in 2024 and beyond. There were rumours that the first GTA 6 trailer will be little more than a teaser, meaning we could get a full trailer at The Game Awards. Watch this space.
