Having retired as the self-confessed second-best Call of Duty player of all time, Seth "Scump" Abner has now already conquered the streaming scene and become the king of content.

Scump's retirement hit the Call of Duty community right in the feels, as the 32-times champion hung up the sticks back in January.

But since then, his watch parties and CDL-based talk show The Breakdown (alongside Anthony "Methodz" Zinni) have provided the community with complete access to his personality, and it's now paying dividends for the King.

Scump surpasses 38,000 subs on Twitch

Through streaming, giveaways, watch parties, and The Breakdown talk show, Scump has now smashed the 38,000 subscriber count, making him the most popular streamer in CoD history.

During OpTic Texas' Grand-Final match against Los Angeles Thieves, Scump's tally even notched up to north of 38,000 subscribers.

The King saw himself move over this milestone whilst watching OpTic alongside Methodz, Hector "H3CZ" Rodriguez, and Marcus "MBoZe" Blanks Jr. - celebrating the landmark moment.

Scump becomes the most-subscribed-to Call of Duty professional ever

Scump's record-breaking sub count has overtaken that of his former teammate and coach, Tyler "TeeP" Polchow. Teep was quite the demon on Warzone during the lockdown era and previously held the record at 34,225.

Only five other Call of Duty players has ever passed the 20,000 subs milestone, including Anthony "Shotzzy" Cuevas Castro, who only just achieved this accolade on April 7.

Other names on the list include Scump's T2P duo Matthew "FormaL" Piper, LA Thieves owner Matthew "Nadeshot" Haag, The Flank host Thomas "ZooMaa" Paparatto, and the French monster Corentin "Gotaga" Houssein.

Scump's popularity will only continue to soar on Twitch as the Call of Duty season escalates toward the World Championship climax, where he will hope to watch OpTic go one better than their silver medal at Major III and Major IV.
