Seth "Scump" Abner is quite the authority when it comes to Call of Duty, having won 38 titles on various instalments of the series over a 13-year-long professional career.

But the legend of the game hasn't exactly been renowned for endorsing games, especially in the last five years, and has been fined on multiple occasions by Activision (while under a CDL contract) for being overly critical of the series.

Now, Scump has continued his rain of fire towards modern-day CoDs and has revealed that he gives up on games after Season 2 due to hackers.

Scump hits out at Call of Duty’s ‘progressively worse’ cheater issue

Talking in a recent stream, Scump revealed why he doesn't play Modern Warfare 3 any more, and the sole reason was hackers. "I think the cheating problem in Call of Duty gets progressively worse as the years go on, every year," he said

"It's happened every year, and that's just how it is. Especially in multiplayer, the longer the game is out the more people are cheating. The player count goes down, the cheaters go up, and my wiener goes down."

So, with Black Ops 6 around the corner, there's little hope in Scump's mind that this problem will be overcome.

Scump fears for Black Ops 6 amid hacker infestation

Even though Black Ops 6 is shaping up to be one of the best games in the series for a good decade, there might be no saving it from the cheaters in this modern era.

Scump claims that by Season 2, Call of Duty games are usually over and done with, and Black Ops 6 will likely follow the trend.

"I always end up stop playing ranked in about Season 2 every year. Literally every single year. Then, it's like 'what the f**k am I playing?' every year, like clockwork," Scump continued. "Season 2, I'm out of there."

Even if Black Ops 6 is the best shooter game of all time, better than prime Doom and Quake, better than any CoD ever, better than every other game in the genre, if the devs can't defend against the hackers, Scump still thinks it'll be doomed before it gets going.
