From tabletop to PC, Sea of Legends is setting sail over the treacherous waters and into the stormy seas of the CRPG world.
Sea of Legends is known as a fun and witty board game where players take control of (up to) four Captains, raiding, pillaging, uncovering bounties, and falling in love.
Now, this action is coasting across the seven seas and onto Steam, as Endless Adventures Incorporated is preparing for its Kickstarter on October 1.
Sea of Legends RPG enters Kickstarter
Announced on September 10, Sea of Legends will be coming to Steam in Early Access this year as Endless Adventures Incorporated will launch a Kickstarter campaign to fund the title's future.
The developers describe the title as not just facing the wrath of the deadly seas, but also swordfighting on the political front by facing off with Kings and Queens of Europe.
Pirates will have the chance to woo their hearties with romance or fire canons at their skulls before whisking off to a tavern for some good old ale, gossip, and gambling. With the Kickstarter starting on October 1, and fans can register their interest here.
The development team is no stranger to the world of gaming. Names such as Andrew McIntosh, Jeffery Campbell, Kate Cruz, and Jordan Weisman boast an exemplary portfolio of titles, including Shadowrun: Dragonfall, Dead Rising 4, and Ubisoft’s Skull & Bones.
Kickstarters are also familiar with the Sea of Legends franchise, as both tabletop games have been crowdfunded. This means the team is hopeful that the existing landlubbers will run over to Steam one peg leg at a time.
While we've seen many video games be transformed into tabletop games, it comes as quite an exciting project to see the tables turned - rather typical of a Pirate Captain.
