In the long tradition of FromSoftware games including secret fight clubs, it didn't take long for the shady society to set up an Elden Ring Fight Club.

The first rule of Elden Ring Fight Club is that you don't talk about Elden Ring Fight Club... oops. With FromSoftware drawing its sword and raising its shield once again, the latest entry in the gruelling Souls-like genre is proving to be one of the biggest games of all time - literally and figuratively.

There's plenty to do in the Lands Between, and even when you've defeated the various Shardbearers to try and restore peace to the realm, the story is far from over. Elden Ring has only been out for a matter of weeks, and already, FromSoft has delivered a substantial update that added new quests and NPCs. Still, if you're finding yourselves a little bored, what about some good ol' fight club to pass the time?

What Is The Elden Ring Fight Club?

Popularised by Chuck Palahniuk's 1996 novel and David Fincher's 1999 movie bringing the idea to the mainstream, a fight club is an underground gathering of people, where you can knock the living snot out of each other for fun. Even though Elden Ring isn't known for its PvP capabilities yet, its online element has allowed the seedy underbelly of fight clubs to grace this rotten realm.

According to Games Radar, the Elden Ring Fight Club is alive and well. The site explains how players will gather in one place, with the victor taking the spoils in a winner-stays-on scenario. Remembering that Elden Ring doesn't have voice chat, you have to gesture to get your point across, and in classic Souls-like style, there are a strict set of rules.

With Souls games letting you summon three phantoms and two invaders, these brutal brawls can feature two fighters, a host, and three watchers. It's a little different in Elden Ring, and as only four players can be present, hosts have to summon two golden signs and one red. Only last year, we covered how fight clubs are still very much present in Dark Souls 3

Are Fight Clubs New To Souls-Like Games?

Anyone who has picked up a sword for a Souls-like before will know fight clubs are nothing new. Going back to 2009's Dark Souls, Darkroot Garden was the go-to spot for duelling, while Dark Souls 2 saw the unofficial fight club take place on the bonfire bridge by the Iron Keep, and Dark Souls 3 had the half-moon balcony near the Pontiff Sulyvahn boss fight.

The problem is, the sheer size of the Elden Ring map means it's been a little tricky to lock down a spot to hold your fight club. Games Radar says that The First Step site of grace at the start of the game, Liurnia of the Lakes' Boilprawn Shack, and just along from the Smouldering Church all being popular hotspots. Apparently though, the best place to hold an Elden Ring fight club is atop the Mountaintops of the Giants - giving a suitably grand arena. Now you know where to go, see if you can flex your muscles to become your very own Elden Lord of Fight Club.
