If you've invested any time in FromSoftware's Elden Ring by now, you'll know that it's not exactly a quick romp. While we're not all Kai Cenat and putting 100+ hours into nonstop marathon streams, Elden Ring and its Shadow of the Erdtree DLC take a lot of time and patience. Thankfully, a handy hack puts time on our side.

FromSoft warned us that Shadow of the Erdtree would be a far more gruelling experience, which was highlighted by the entry requirements. After all, you don't wait over a year for a DLC, just to cheese it in a day. Still, were most of us prepared for just how difficult it was?

Elden Ring players have a surprising way to defeat Consort Radahn

Shadow of the Erdtree has some particularly beefy bosses, making Commander Gaius and Messmer the Impaler look like schoolyard bullies, but Consort Radahn is more than equipped to be the endgame boss. If you haven't beaten Consort Radahn and are worried he'll turn you to dust, there's a handy hack to beat him using boredom.

As shared on YouTube (via GamesRadar), you can beat Consort Radahn without having to fight him at all. YouTuber Sheng Qian showcases how Radahn will simply give up on fighting you if he can't see you in the arena. To pull this off, you'll need the Assassin's Gambit Ash of War skill AND the Unseen Form sorcery.

By stacking these abilities, you'll effectively become an invisible assassin. By sneaking around the side of the arena and reapplying invisibility when needed, you can then hit Radahn with two Hefty Poison Pots and a Hefty Rot Pot to chip away at his health. Then, use a Mimic Veil item to masquerade as a statue.

When you've knocked down enough of Consort Radahn's health to trigger his second phase, simply continue your statue disguise and watch as the confused boss walks on by. This seemingly activates a glitch where Radahn phases in and out of battle, depleting his health bar and handing you an easy victory.

This admittedly takes away the fun of playing Elden Ring, as, after all, you don't boot up a copy just to sit there and get an underserved win. Still, if you're pulling your hair out and have died hundreds of times to the game's big bad, you might want to consider using this move before FromSoftware inevitably patches it.
