Nothing quite hit like prime Verdansk time when you could cleanly pull off a squad wipe with a single magazine of your Kar98k.

It was more like a game of whack-a-mole seeing players snaking on a head glitch only for your one-shot sniper to send them back to the dirt begging for a revive.

Ah, those were the days... and now they're coming "back".

Warzone sniping is "back", apparently

With sniping being one of the worst elements of the current Warzone experience, in comparison to the old days, content creator and leaker "Metaphor" says that there is "amazing news": "Sniping is back."

As pointed out by Dexerto, Metaphor took to YouTube to inform his viewers that one-shot sniping will return to Warzone in the Modern Warfare 3 integration period.

In his recent upload, the YouTube personality said that the snipers will likely work similarly to how they did in Caldera, with a drop-off range where one-shot guns are applicable, meaning the shorter-range marksman-rifle-like guns will be able to snipe efficiently until the distance is too far gone.

Metaphor claims MW2 snipers will be buffed for new Warzone iteration

Specifically, Metaphor revealed that the current set of snipers (from the MW2 pool, such as the SP-X and LA-B 300), which are rather lacklustre on Warzone, will be buffed and tuned to suit the new profile of guns, making them equally as strong as the new ones.

According to the renowned leaker turned content creator, Sledgehammer Games has specifically said, "There is a completely new weapon profile they can attach to these guns that changes them [MW2 guns] to the MW3 profiles."

Metaphor insisted that the Modern Warfare 3 developers reiterated this to James "JGOD" Godoy, who played this on-stream.

This would then mean that Warzone will have a massive pool of very useful snipers that players can enjoy, and those on multiplayer who have been levelling up the LA-B 300 will be in for a treat.
