Star Wars Outlaws cheats are out before the game has launched

Massive Entertainment's Star Wars Outlaws is about to launch, but the open-world Star Wars game is already being swamped by cheats that are in danger of ruining it.

The whole point of Star Wars Outlaws is to get down and dirty with the criminal underworld of the Outer Rim. For those who lament the loss that we were never able to play as Boba Fett in the canned Star Wars 1313, we'll get to indulge our sticky fingers here.

Taking flight as Kay Vess, Outlaws sets out to prove she's much more than just a female Han Solo, adding new elements like a reputation system as you navigate the warring factions of the galaxy far, far away. Kay might not be as morally clean-cut as someone like Luke Skywalker, but should she really cheat? Some of you seem to think so.

Star Wars Outlaws cheats are already here

For those who've been playing Outlaws' early access as part of the pricier Gold Edition (and haven't had your save files deleted), you're probably well into Kay's adventure. Navigating crime syndicates like the Hutt Clan and Crimson Dawn puts you in plenty of moral dilemmas, while the casino planet of Canto Bight is a major locale.

Outlaws isn't even fully out yet, but ahead of its August 30 launch, the open-world Star Wars adventure is in danger of being swamped by cheats. It shouldn't be too much of a big deal because there's no multiplayer in Outlaws, but then again, we're pretty sure Massive Entertainment never intended for you to cheese your way through the immersive story.

It's ironic that cheats are frowned upon in a game that literally teaches you to go full Lando Calrissian and cheat. Still, VideoGamer reports that Star Wars Outlaws cheats are currently everywhere, with WeMod holding host to a series of cheats from a modder called GreenHouse.

Ranging from Unlimited Adrenaline that turns Kay into a heavy-hitter akin to a Rancor to Unlimited Credits that make you richer than Alderaan's Organa family, Outlaws would be a walk in the park if you have any of the above installed.

Although Outlaws is reportedly compatible with Cheat Engine, we'd recommend against using any of the above or downloading content from unverified sources. These obviously only work on the PC version of the game, meaning console owners will have to make it to the end the old-fashioned way - with a little cheating at Sabacc along the way.

As Ubisoft isn't known for supporting cheats in its other big franchises like Assassin's Creed, don't expect the publisher to smile too kindly on this one. We'd also say don't be a drone of the Empire, do the right thing and play Outlaws how you were supposed to.
