The colder weather is coming and the early nights are drawing in, meaning there's no better time to curl up with a cosy game - and few are as cosy as Stardew Valley.
The indie sensation has been flying on just about every platform since 2016, and now we know when the game's big 1.6 update will hit console and mobile platforms - November 4.
What's the big deal about Stardew Valley's update 1.6?
As shared by developer ConcernedApe in a post on X (formerly Twitter), the 1.6 patch is targeting a November 4 release date, so get your chill music and beverage of choice ready for the big day.
The update is already out on PC (and by extension, Steam Deck), but console players have been waiting for it to hit their platforms since it features more than 500 changes that range from new content like characters and dialogue to quality-of-life tweaks and bug fixes.
ConcernedApe, real name Eric Barone, has also confirmed he's not been able to work on his next game, Haunted Chocolatier, because he's still been working on getting Stardew Valley's latest major update to console and mobile - here's hoping he can take a rest in between.
Will you be racing to download it when it's out? Let us know in the comments below. Can't wait until then? Be sure to check out our rundown of the best cosy games around.
