Reviews are out, the first player footage has landed, and story details threaten to leak - Starfield is finally here for those in early access, and we can barely wait to start our adventure.

The game officially launches next week, but those with deeper pockets who have pre-ordered have been offered the opportunity to skip the queue, and we're pretty jealous that they're getting to experience the game early.

But even for those players, there's a roadblock.

There's already a huge bug for Starfield players

A big problem has already reared its head for players who are making attempts to join the game a little early - and it's the game itself telling them they're too early.

This is fair enough for those who haven't bought the game, but those who have bought the game's deluxe edition are getting it too, despite having fair access to the game.

A deleted post in the Starfield subreddit has revealed that many players are experiencing the problem, much to their behest, after shelling out for the game when it's set to launch on Game Pass when it officially releases next week - but it seems there are a few suggestions.

How can I fix the 'too early' Starfield bug?

If you're having trouble with the latest problem to grace Starfield, then there are a few avenues to take with the game: double-check your edition, restart the game, restart your console, and in the absolute worst-case scenario, reinstall the game.

They're simple steps, but they could well guide you to getting your hands on the game ahead of everyone else. Lucky devil.
