Starfield is shaping up to be one of the biggest games of the year, with huge amounts of content and a lot of incredible moments to explore as players traverse the galaxy.
A Bethesda exec gave some advice about where to find some of the best moments in game to fans of the upcoming space RPG, during Xbox’s livestream at Gamescom 2023.
Some of Starfield’s best moments may arise from seemingly small activities
Bethesda's first new IP in over 25 years is set to be a big one. With over 1000 planets throughout space to explore and huge amounts of freedom in how you explore it, it is not unlikely that players will miss chunks of the game.
Starfield and Bethesda publishing lead, Pete Hines gave future Starfield players some advice during the Gamescom Xbox Showcase today to make sure they didn't accidentally miss some of the game's most amazing moments.
Hines, said: "My one piece of advice, do not ignore your activities. It feels like throwaway stuff that the game is giving you, but there is some amazing stuff in there that doesn't even feel like a real quest but will take you to some amazing places, some amazing stories."
He also mentioned that, despite having over 150 hours in the game, he hadn't come close to seeing everything it had to offer yet.
Bethesda wants players to experience the game however they want to
In keeping with their previous games, Bethesda have said they want players to be able to enjoy Starfield however they want to, whether that is by collecting all of the flora and fauna the world has to offer or acting as a savage, sandwich stealing pirate.
In his talk, Hines emphasised the importance of player choice in Starfield. He said: "We encourage you to play this like any [Bethesda] game: do what you want, go where you want, be the player you wanna be and test this world and see what happens."
Starfield will be out on 6 September so there is not much longer to wait until we can truly experience the expansive world. It is definitely worth remembering when it is finally time to get hands on with the game that even the most insignificant activities can lead to some great moments.
