VALORANT esports has remained immensely popular ever since Riot released the game back in 2020, with countless teams across multiple regions all competing for huge prizes.

As a result, a lot of players are keen for the devs to add esports team-themed skins to the shooter, all so they can show their support for their favourite organisations.

This has been available in League of Legends as Riot's other flagship title for years, with each Worlds winner receiving their own line of custom champion skins.

Well, Riot has finally revealed that 'team-branded' skins are coming to VALORANT and it's even announced a release window.

During an interview with Sports Business Journal on Mastercard's sponsorship deal, VALORANT Esports Global Head Leo Faria revealed that team-branded esports skins are coming.

According to him, "Next year, we're introducing for the first time team-branded skins in-game and all of that is monetised via micro transactions."

As cosmetics are a "big part of the business" for VALORANT, it's clear Riot is excited to bring team-themed skins into the title and give players a chance to support their favourite organisations.

It'll be interesting to see how much input the teams themselves get when it comes to the design of their own skins.

How much will the esports skins cost in VALORANT?

At the moment, the price of the upcoming team-branded VALORANT skins are unknown, and all we're told is that they're coming in 2024.

With so many teams across the globe, it'll be interesting to see whether Riot releases them all at once with a big event, or roll them out slowly over an extended period of time.

Either way, at least the VALORANT community finally has confirmation that esports skins are on the cards, and a rough release window of when to expect them in the store. Get ready to wear your Fnatic colours with pride.
