Ever since it was revealed that the next game in the lineage of Skate games would be a live-service title, players were curious - but not more curious than excited. It's hard to blame them.

Regardless of what some players expect the live-service model to do for one of history's most celebrated skating games, fans are all in after the successes and endless love for Skate 3. As skate. prepares to land the trick of bringing the series back from its dormancy, players are waiting to see what's in store.

Now, the team behind the game has provided some fresh details as part of the ongoing series of updates.

skate. reveals new cosmetics and partnerships in The Board Room

In the latest instalment of The Board Room, the series produced by skate.'s creative team to help keep fans in the loop about the game's development, some fresh details are tiding fans over until its official launch.

The focus of this episode of The Board Room seems to be customisation, as the team fills players in on the sum of tops, pants, headwear, eyewear, footwear and socks you'll be able to equip. It's all in order to truly bring yourself onto the streets of San Vansterdam.

Partnerships seem to be a pretty big part of the customisation element, bringing some real-world brands into the character editor.

Most notable is the appearance of some very recognisable Vans sneakers, so if you're a die-hard for the skating clothing brand, then chances are your favourite outfit in real life could be making an appearance in-game. Joining the list of announced brands are Girl, Chocolate, and Dime.

The skate. team has also revealed that its launch is "just the beginning," revealing that plenty more will be coming once the game has launched. We might need to get to grips with the controls of skate. once again, but even if we faceplant, we'll look dope doing it.
