New Pokemon Snap was a delightful surprise upon announcement, mostly because we weren't sure we'd see the series return. The brilliance of Pokemon Snap lies in its simplicity - giving players the chance to see wild Pokemon in their natural habitats and get some banging pics out of it as they do it.
It was a unique offshoot of the Pokemon series that went down a treat. In 2021, its bold return as New Pokemon Snap might've been forgotten for most by the time the end of the year rolled around. Still, it was a wonderful traipse through the classic formula. And now, the OG is Pokemon Snap is making a comeback on Nintendo Switch
Is Pokemon Snap Coming To Nintendo Switch?
Huge news for Pokemon photographers. Finally, Pokemon Snap is set to join the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack later this month. The news was announced on June 17 by Nintendo's social media channels. It boasted a charming trailer that shows off the best of the classic N64 title.
The return of Pokemon Snap for Nintendo Switch has come with a lot of love from fans. Some of us have been waiting over 20 years to play the Pokemon spin-off and simply can't wait to get back to the iconic Pokemon Island.
Though some fans feel that Nintendo's updates to its classic games on Switch has been slow and meandering, this addition is a good sign of things to come - and it's actually not going to take forever to arrive either.
When Is Pokemon Snap Coming To Switch?
The release date of the N64 banger isn't actually that far off, so if you've beaten New Pokemon Snap and are yearning for some more pics to hang up, you're not going to have any difficulty. Pokemon Snap comes to Switch on June 24. It means that this time next week, you could be snapping beasties to your heart's content. We'll see you on the island.
Pokemon Snap joins a growing roster of N64 classics making the leap from the iconic console to its portable offspring. From The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time to Banjo-Kazooie, there's a lot to love from Nintendo's premium subscription service. Still, we're waiting for GoldenEye 007.
