Warzone 2.0 might be a fresh new experience for players to drop into, but it still suffers from its growing pains regardless.
It may have been wishful thinking, but players were hoping that the new edition of the Call of Duty battle royale experience would be a total clean slate from the first game's bugs, but as a brand new game, there are a few issues to iron out. But, as is standard with modern Call of Duty, nothing gets more focus than the in-game shop.
Which is what makes it so shocking to see a new skin that players are deeming pay-to-win making the rounds.
Warzone 2.0 Has A New Pay-To-Win Skin
After the absolute kerfuffle that came with the Roze skin in the last game, you'd think that Warzone 2.0 would be wise enough not to include a new skin that's tough to see in-game - but they've managed to do it again.
One of the new esports skins to come to the game, the LA Thieves skin, is incredibly similar to the Roze skin in its colour scheme and style, though with a pretty luminous LA Thieves logo emblazoned on the chest. While the logo is pretty luminous, it still means that the skin is very tough to see in combat situations.
It might be frustrating for players, but that clearly hasn't stopped players rushing to it.
The Pay-To-Win Warzone Skin Is Clambering Up The Steam Charts
Impressively, the skin itself is standing up to entire games on the Steam charts, with the LA Thieves skin now standing at 21 on the recent Steam charts at the time of writing.
This makes it currently more popular than World of Tanks and Elder Scrolls Online, with it tailing behind Dota 2.
Players might complain, but it won't stop them from aiming for the opportunity to go unseen regardless. Who'd have thought?
