The Replacer

With Black Ops 6 landing in a matter of weeks, it's about time we start thinking of what to write on those sick notes.

Fluffy ate your rota? Bitten by a zombie to cause a sudden fever? Got shot in the stomach and need two days to recover? But when your boss already has their annual excuse lined up to book in days of Black Ops 6 action, do you really stand a chance of getting that time off work or school?

Well, there might be a different answer to your Call of Duty bunking-off dilemma, as The Replacer returns as part of the Black Ops 6 marketing. With Peter Stormare reprising his role, players are also calling for him to return as an Operator.

The Replacer returns in time for Black Ops 6

Hey, look, it's John Abruzzi, John Abruzzi.  Reprising his role as The Replacer, Prison Break star Peter Stomare is back as a Call of Duty legend, helping players get that time off needed to grind the campaign in record time or begin smashing through the prestige levels on multiplayer.

The Replacer has been a Black Ops legend since starring in live-action trailers for the series' first title. In them, he takes the place of the working man in their everyday chores while you stick glued to your gaming chair.

This year, it doesn't matter if you're a firefighter, a taco maker, an archbishop, or simply had dinner plans with the family, The Replacer is back to take your place after missing out on Cold War.

Previously, Stomare's CoD moniker replaced celebs as they posed on yachts for Instagram (BO4), drove ambulances (BO3), assisted in childbirth (BO2 Revolution), and performed life-saving surgery (BO2 Uprising).

Black Ops 6 fans already call for The Replacer Operator skins

Having headlined six live-action trailers for Black Ops 2 and 3's DLCs, The Replacer had never set foot on a CoD map. After all, he was busy attending to your "non-Call of Duty duties". That was until Black Ops 4, where Treyarch decided to add Stomare's cutthroat John Wick-looking alias as an Operator for the debut battle royale Blackout.

Given that he's making his return, Black Ops 6 fans are already praying that The Replacer gets added as an Operator, even if this means he has to be derelict in his job of fulfilling your day-to-day tedious tasks.

Taking to X, one fan said, "The GOAT is back, I hope he has his own skin again." Another added, "I hope he gets added as an operator in Black Ops 6, just how they did on Black Ops 4."

So far, Black Ops 6's ad campaigns haven't listed The Replacer as an in-game character, but knowing how he loves to appear in live-service DLCs, there's a chance that this badass could be coming in future seasons.
