LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has been a long time coming, and so far, fans have been loving it.
We reckon the game is among the best open-world games that the Star Wars franchise has ever offered, and fans agree, with many enjoying the sprawling worlds rife with secrets and goodies to discover.
And despite being a game made primarily for children, The Skywalker Saga doesn't seem too shy to stray from its family-friendly roots, as one, particularly spooky, Easter egg has proven.
LEGO Star Wars Has A Spooky Haunted Droid Easter Egg
A bone-chilling new Easter egg has been found in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, which links back to some obscure franchise lore.
The Easter egg can be found in Mos Espa on Tatooine, and you'll see a mysterious silver protocol droid walk into a building in passing after completing one of The Phantom Menace's missions.
Upon wandering into the cluttered house, you'll see the droid stare at you from afar, and wander out of sight. When you chase it, the camera zeroes in on his face, and he'll walk off again. Once he does, he'll vanish for good, never to be seen again. Eerie.
Who Is The Spooky Protocol Droid?
According to the dense lore of Star Wars, this freaky droid is Nobot, a creation of writer Shaun Flaherty from the Hyperspace Star Wars fan club. The story of Nobot is that no matter what tragic fate befell him, he'd always find a way to reappear in Mos Espa, and it is said that he witnessed the murder of a pregnant woman, and he's known to replay the audio he recorded as it was happening. Ick.
It's lovely attention to the detail of the Star Wars mythos, but blimey, is it bleak to include Nobot in the game, especially as it's made for children. The galaxy is home to some pretty spooky sights, and Nobot may be only scratching the service.
