Omnimovement is Black Ops 6's big selling point. The new mechanic is supposed to "revolutionise" Call of Duty and has already had dire effects on other titles in the pipeline that are struggling to catch up.

But, what will omnimovement actually mean for the Call of Duty fan base? Will it work as intended? Will it improve the gameplay? And is it too divisive that Black Ops 6 might even fail?

These fears have only been heightened as leaked footage of the third-person game has surfaced and it looks to be a nightmare for CoD's 'casual' community.

Black Ops 6 leaks show just how terrifying omnimovement is

First and foremost, omnimovement is a skill gap mechanic. It's developed with the purpose of allowing players to grow in stature and use it to win gunfights. But early Black Ops 6 leaks have shown that omnimovement is going to be incredibly powerful, especially in third-person.

One clip has showcased a player dolphin diving in different directions in the mode, rifling down enemies left, right, and centre, leaving others to see just how wide the skill gap can become with this feature.

After the poster claimed "Casual players are going to hate this," many more agreed, with one going as far as to say, "I can already smell their tears." Another added, "Lmao casual players are done."

There will be some fear for Treyarch and Activision, though, as the "casual" community - those who jump on for an hour a week after a hard working day - are usually the players who invest in skins.

"Casual players won’t hate the game because they’ll never play people who know how to use the movement to their advantage," one fan did argue, although they might be underestimating how much SBMM takes into consideration one good game.

Others joked that even the "comp" community will be trembling in fear when the Max Payne players load into the game having mastered this movement years ago.
