The grind on Warzone Ranked has been quite a tough one, so far. Many players have reported that the Ranked system favours streamers rather than the average ladder climber, and players are paired with enemies in nine complete divisions above them (silver players facing those in Diamond and above).
But, if you need a new trick to get some free SR, Tim "TimTheTatman" Betar has just revealed a savvy trick, if you've got the aim. It's one that could come in handy if you land in the Gulag.Â
TimTheTatman reveals nifty free SR trick in Warzone
Having caught the bug for Call of Duty since he was found to be getting a Warzone operator based on himself, TimTheTatman has revisited Al Mazrah and begun trying to climb the Ranked ladder alongside other streamers.
But in usual TimTheTatman fashion, he spends a lot of time in the Gulag. It's here where he found a neat trick to gain SR.
While in the Gulag, you can throw rocks at enemies, and while they are usually just a way of annoying someone (or even serving as a way to reveal a player's location) you actually deal one damage point. According to Betar, this is enough to earn an assist, which grants SR in Warzone Ranked.
TimTheTatman's free SR trick could be about to be nerfedÂ
As seen in Tim's clip, the trick earned him five Skill Rating points, which could be the difference between promotion or not in your Ranked endeavours, so, it might be worth training up on your rock throwing.
However, the trick could be set for a patch soon. Previous official Patch Notes have suggested that Ranked will block the ability to throw rocks at players, claiming "because that's just mean".
In the meantime, if you're struggling to find much success with your gun up, and don't fancy wielding the Force alongside hackers, then maybe rock-slinging might be the perfect way to gain some much-needed SR.
