Tracer packs might have gone way over the top in Vanguard's World War II setting, but are they that bad? They sell well, that's for sure. But it seems like they're quickly becoming the Call of Duty marmite, either being loved or hated. Now, the haters want a way of getting rid and have suggested a new feature for Modern Warfare 2.

The tracer packs definitely didn't suit Vanguard, although they were much more popular in Warzone. Having been first introduced in Modern Warfare, the coloured rounds are actually replicable of what real-life soldiers use to help identify friendly fire and distinguish targets, albeit without the laser-like effect that Call of Duty has evolved them into.

However, some fans have now called for the laser effects to be banished, but only for people who don't like them. How? A new feature called a Tracer Pack Toggle.

Modern Warfare 2 Fans Want Rid Of Tracer Packs

Going into Modern Warfare 2, one fan has come up with the idea of getting rid of tracer rounds for those players who don't want their screens lit up by lasers. Taking to a viral Reddit thread, one player has suggested that the upcoming game should come with a "toggle to turn off tracers and wacky skins".

The user suggested that while some fans love them, others hate them, and should therefore be able to have the option to toggle off tracers on the client side of the server.

The fan clearly prefers the beige version of Call of Duty, detailing that having a toggle to "swap the mesh of 'wacky' skins back to the default operator, and turning off colourful tracers, would go a long way".

Do Fans Want A Beige Modern Warfare 2?

Fans of Vanguard have long wanted the developers to stop ignoring the World War II setting, asking for numerous weapons from that era to be added. They certainly voiced their concerns after the multiverse of madness erupted in Season 5 too.

The beige fans don't want the game to be plain though, and actively welcome the customisation features. However, they just want the ability to turn them off for their own screen, whether their opponents are running them or not.

It's well documented that Activision is very heavy on microtransactions, making this toggle unlikely, although it wouldn't be the first title to add such a feature.
