Twitch streamer Tyler "Trainwrecks" Niknam has called upon wealthy content creators to do their bit for Ukraine by donating to aid charities following Russia's invasion of the country.

As one of the most popular gambling streamers in the community, Trainwrecks has made millions from virtual slot machines, streaming, and investments. Just recently, he hit the jackpot after winning $8.75M from slots. His popularity has even had the likes of EA paying him to play Apex Legends in order to advertise the game to his followers. However, on numerous occasions he's proven himself to be a true humanitarian, sharing his wealth to charity and to some very grateful up-and-coming streamers.

As the events surrounding Russia's invasion of Ukraine continue to shake the world, Trainwrecks has called on other wealthy content creators to help those who are suffering amid the crisis.

What Did Trainwrecks Say In His Message To Other Streamers?

On February 27, Trainwrecks posted a tweet in which he called out on other streamers to donate their wealth to relief charities in Ukraine. In the tweet, the 31-year-old said: "Crowdfunding from twitch chat is good but to all rich streamers, I want to see direct donations to Ukraine from your hog like bank accounts."

Trainwrecks also claimed that crowdfunding is still a valuable way of getting aid to Ukraine. Although, he claimed that streamers doing both crowdfunding and individual donations from their own bank account "doubles if not triples the aid."

Trainwrecks' appeal follows numerous high-profile streamers condemning Russia's attack on Ukraine. This includes popular Twitch streamer Imane "Pokimane" Anys and Fortnite favourite Tyler "Ninja" Blevins. Ukrainian-born Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev also made an emotional appeal calling for an end to the conflict.

How Did Fans React To Trainwrecks' Message?

Unsurprisingly, the majority of Trainwrecks' followers supported the idea and echoed his appeal for content creators to do more to help Ukrainian citizens suffering from Russia's violent attacks. One particularly angry fan who slated crowdfunding streamers said: "Seeing rich individuals crowdfunding, to me is shameless [...] Instead of donating the money they get personally, they take it from their fans who already donate to them, and then they claim credit for all the good."

However, one of Trainwrecks' fellow streamers "Heav" claimed that they had done a subathon and donated half her proceeds to the Red Cross for Ukrainian relief. Another fan also retweeted a post from Ukraine's official Twitter page, explaining that those wanting to offer their help can also make cryptocurrency donations.
