It seems that even taking part in an intense $250,000 tournament won't save you from doing your chores, as one TSM Apex Legends pro discovered in a glorious moment which was captured during his stream.

How is it parents always seem to know to ask you to do your chores at the most inconvenient of times? But, do we say "no"? Absolutely, not. God forbid. We go "ugh, fine" and do it.

Well, maybe not if we're in the middle of an Apex Legends tournament with just a mere $250k at stake. One Apex Pro seemingly had to come face-to-face with this dilemma when mid-match, his mother made an unexpected appearance, seemingly telling him to take the bins out.

What Happened To The Apex Pro Mid-Tournament?

Apex Legends player and Team SoloMid (TSM) member Evan "Verhulst" Verhulst was taking part in a tournament alongside his teammates Phillip "ImperialHal" Dosen, and Jordan "Reps" Wolfe on January 24. The first 10 minutes of the play went through without a hitch, until a strange voice was heard in the distance of Verhulst's camera, which turned out to be his mother seemingly asking him to 'take out the trash'. Caught up in an intense tournament moment, Verhulst quickly, but calmly responded: "I'm in mid-game, Mom [...] I'll worry about it later."

The clip was seen as hilarious by fans over on Livestream Fails, after it appeared on the page. These are the kind of moments the subreddit was made for after all. One fan noted how "not even pros are safe from their parents telling them to pause a multiplayer game lol." Another said: "If I was gaming and my dad said bring in the trash or take it out and I responded with "I'll work on it later". I'd 100% be hearing his foot steps coming to my door." However, the audio is a little unclear so some viewers claimed that what the player's mum actually said was "your stream crashed, not take out the trash."

Of course, this isn't the first time a content creator's stream has been interrupted by an unexpected moment from a family member. For example, there was the streamer who captured his baby's daughter's first word and "ScaryCheese" who was told to 'turn the noise down' by his mum while in the middle of streaming. Then again, there are some parents who have embraced their children's gaming passions and even ended up going viral for their "chaotic gameplay."

Did Verhulst Win The Apex Legends Tournament?

Verhulst clearly didn't let the moment distract him from the game, as three and a half hours later the team won the tournament, taking home a whopping $250,000. Verhulst's mum even appeared to wave the whole 'taking out the bins' thing so a double win.

Not to mention in an incredibly wholesome moment which was captured on the stream, Verhulst's family quickly ran to his bedroom door screaming with delight and giving him some well-earned hugs as he announced his victory.
