After rumours swirled online about Ubisoft's streaming service merging with Xbox's Game Pass for years, we finally have the confirmation that it's touching down on the console - and it's doing so today (April 13).
The service is available for players through the Ubisoft+ Multi Access service, which will allow players into the library of games across Xbox, PC and Amazon Luna.
How can you play Ubisoft+ on Xbox?
The official Ubisoft Twitter confirmed the partnership and solidified their working relationship.
"Partnering with Xbox to launch Ubisoft+ Multi Access on Xbox consoles enhances our subscription offering to provide more value and choice to our players," says Chris Early, Senior Vice President of Strategic Partnerships and Business Development at Ubisoft.
"Xbox console players can now have unbridled access to discover our worlds through Ubisoft’s extensive game library."
It's a great announcement that's going to keep Ubisoft fans happy - but there's one caveat.
Ubisoft+ has less games on Xbox than on PC
It has been reported that the version of Ubisoft+ that will be appearing on Xbox actually doesn't have as many games as the version that appears on PC.
The Verge reports that it was told by Ubisoft spokesperson Natalie Carey that the Xbox edition of Ubisoft+ packs 60 games, but on PC, you can play over 100 of them.
The announcement has nothing to do with Xbox Game Pass, which flies in the face of many rumours - but the arrival of the service is good enough for fans of the games that Ubisoft creates. Even if there are fewer games on the service than we expected.
