In the current Warzone 2 meta, the Vaznev-9k and the VEL-46 stand out as the strongest SMGs. This is certainly reflected in their pick rates, with both weapons sitting at the top of the category in terms of popularity.
However, as these are the go-to choices for the majority of players, it means a lot of other weapons are being overlooked.
Well, WZ2 guru WhosImmortal believes they've found the strongest off-meta SMG that's 'ridiculously' strong and deserves more attention.
BAS-P Warzone 2 loadout is 'ridiculously' strong
According to WZRanked, the BAS-P has an incredibly low pick rate of just 0.4%, meaning it's extremely underrated. The loadout below transforms the gun into a devastating SMG that's perfect for racking up kills.

- Magazine: 50-Round Drum

While the BAS-P may not have the strongest TTK when face-to-face with a foe, the gun really begins to thrive at 12m to 30m. This makes it an SMG that's most deadly when used at mid-range, which means it's an extremely unique weapon in the category.
Labelling the gun as 'ridiculously' strong, WhosImmortal believes the gun deserves a lot more credit than it gets in the current meta.
According to him, it's 'easy to use' with minimal recoil and has solid mobility, so it's ideal for aggressive players looking to rack up kills. He does recommend running an optic with the gun though, as its iron sight is difficult to use at mid-range.
Best Warzone 2 secondary to use with BAS-P
When it comes to a secondary for the BAS-P, the Overkill perk is absolutely essential as it allows you to use another primary.
Once this is equipped, we recommend using the Kastov 762 or ISO Hemlock, as both weapons destroy foes at long range. With the BAS-P and one of these top-tier ARs, your enemies will stand no chance.
So, don't hesitate to test out the BAS-P in your matches and see if the off-meta pick nets you any wins on Al Mazrah or Ashika Island.
