Now that VALORANT Episode 7 is out in the world, fans are absolutely rinsing Deadlock - the latest addition to the roster of playable characters. She's got a lot of cool kit, making her a worthy choice for players - but she's coming packed with problems.
Alongside the reveal of a massive bug allowing Deadlock to shoot clean through incredibly thick walls, her impressive abilities mean she's the meta pick in-game, with few giving her much cause for concern. However, keen VALORANT players think they've found an unexpected Agent who can stop Deadlock.
Yoru is the ultimate Deadlock counter
Even in the face of her amazing power so far, it turns out that there's one existing VALORANT Agent who can bring Deadlock down to earth. It looks as though Yoru could be the character you need to take Deadlock down, as her tough Barrier Mesh ability can be instantly stripped down by one of his abilities.
Yoru is at the lower end of the pick rate spectrum, and alongside Astra, is considered a bottom-tier addition. Despite getting a kit buff in 2022, Yoru is widely thought of as the worst VALORANT duelist. Still, you might've just found a reason to give him a chance.
A new video has been posted to Twitter by RemValorant, showcasing how Yoru's Decoy can tear down the Mesh. If you deploy it at the height of a jump in the middle of the mesh, it will spawn in the same spot as its centre and will instantly destroy it.
Don't expect Yoru’s Decoy trick to last long

Considering how OP Deadlock is right now, locking her down could be the key to winning in VALORANT. Though Yoru's current hack is an incredibly useful trick, we wouldn't be surprised if this was something that Riot Games jumped on in hopes of a fix.
It might be incredibly useful against Deadlock for now, but don't expect your decoy to break down the wall for much longer. Even if it's balanced, Yoru could still be a viable tactic to send a decoy over the barrier. Just don't hold out hope that Deadlock can be put in checkmate so easily for much longer.
