When leaks rain, they pour. Just after it was revealed that some Call of Duty jet pack-era maps were being remastered for the first time, it looks like their game modes are following.

Black Ops 6 is set to revisit some futuristic multiplayer maps, such as Fringe (from BO3), adding to Modern Warfare 3's obsession with Advanced Warfare guns and attachments. Now, the ultimate futuristic game mode has been leaked for a return to Call of Duty, as Uplink has been found among Black Ops 6 files.

Black Ops 6 reportedly adding Uplink game mode

According to new leaks, icons for Uplink have been found in the Black Ops 6 files. The page "CoDWarfareForum" has also claimed that multiple voice lines hint at the game mode, such as "Upload the satellite or defend until the time expires" and "Sudden Death. The next upload wins."

Uplink involves having a ball and two goals, where teams fight for possession of the orb and can pass it between each other to move forward. The usual shooting persists, aside from the ball carrier, as teams will have to slay through the last lines of defence to protect the ball before a chance opens up for it to be fired home towards the satellite (goal).

Uplink has never been added to a Call of Duty 'boots-on-the-ground' title, only ever featuring alongside exo-suits where you could easily dunk the ball into the holographic goal.

This will be music to the competitive community's ears more than most, as Uplink is the most-loved third game mode for Ranked and Pro play (to feature alongside Hardpoint and Search and Destroy), beating the current Control and previous other modes like Capture the Flag and Domination.
