VALORANT's console port might not have any official dates just yet, but fans are bracing for the impact of the arrival of new players anyway. The change is expected to come by the end of 2023, ushering in a wealth of newcomers and pushing the shooter to an all-new level.

Still, existing players are concerned that it's going to make an Earth-shattering impact on Ranked play, all thanks to overwhelming sums who don't know what they're doing in-game flooding in. But it looks like the VALORANT console port could be coming with more than we had bargained for.

VALORANT is reportedly getting a campaign

A user on 4Chan has claimed to have found proof of an upcoming campaign mode set to come to VALORANT, coinciding with its debut on console. We know the VALORANT console ports will bring plenty of new content to the table, but is a campaign on the cards?

Take the claim with a pinch of salt (the default warning when it comes to 4Chan), but a user is claiming to work for a game store, and a new campaign coming to VALORANT can be purchased using a gift card. The campaign itself is called Radiant War, and it will be coming to consoles.

It's believable enough, although the consoles themselves haven't been revealed yet. It's expected that PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X will be among them. "And yes, the gift card is for CAMPAIGN ONLY meaning you will have to pay for the campaign," adds the post.

"I didn't get a good look at the price details but it's made by Riot so expect it to be overpriced lol." To be honest, what else would you expect from Riot Games or any of these other big developers?

Fans aren't sure about the VALORANT campaign reveal

After the 4Chan post was posted to the GamingLeaksAndRumours, fans have been letting the rumour swirl - and some aren't exactly convinced. "An archived 4chan thread with two replies?" quizzes one Reddit user. "Are you just writing fanfics to 4Chan and posting them here?"

"Huge doubt here," says another. "As someone that plays and follows news, esports, etc for VALORANT. They plan doesn't seem to involve anything related to a story for VALORANT as of now."

There's plenty coming for VALORANT, but the appearance of a campaign is still hotly debated. We'll just have to wait and see.
