VALORANT fans are a little bit tired of the exploitation of Fracture, as a range of bugs and glitches have been found. Now, they are ruining games of the highest importance.
The seventh map to be added to VALORANT has been somewhat of an opinion divider, although that's arguably what it intends to do. A massive split down the middle of the map makes it a landscape which can either serve as a great tool to master or be the Achilles' heal of even the best players.
However, after Jett and Deadlock exploits highlighted its whimsical design, another massive bug came to light as Sentinels and Cloud9 duelled in the VCT Last Chance Qualifier, and now patient VALORANT fans have had enough.
Fracture exploit saves players from Raze's showstopper
In the LCQ match between the gargantuan NA organisations, Sentinels' Zachary "zekken" Patrone cornered three members of Cloud9 behind a block and chose to pull out the Showstopper. This would have been a guaranteed triple kill anywhere else on any other map.
However, a Fracture exploit meant that when the Showstopper exploded, all three members of Cloud9 received zero damage, despite clearly being within the blast radius, as it appears the box has an invisible hitbox which protected them.
Cloud9's Erick "Xeppaa" Bach also faced similar issues when using Raze, leaving fans calling for the map to be axed.
VALROANT fans want Fracture removed
Although there might be fixes for the bug, fans have decided enough is enough and want Fracture out of rotation, which could give the developers time to put it under the microscope, akin to how they treated Icebox.
"Let's just throw away fracture to be safe," said one fan. Another added, "Remove fracture to fix the issue." Other fans also pointed out that Riot acknowledged bugs and exploits with explosions, specifically with Raze's ultimate, back in 2021, claiming "we can fix it," yet the problem still exists two years later.
Riot Games has yet to share its stance on the bugs, but it might just be a matter of time before we see the devs pull out the surgical knife for the map.
