VALORANT fanatic Aaro "hoody" Peltokangas has officially stepped down from HAVU. There's now an open space on the roster and HAVU is expected to announce hoody's replacement soon.
It's been a divisive 2020 for HAVU after the team claimed third place in FLASHPOINT 1, earned a meaty $100,000, and climbed the rankings to be 21st in the world. HAVU then won BLAST Rising in May, but have stalled since.
As well as an early exit from Home Sweet Home cups, the Finnish side didn't qualify for the Summer RMR event. Also rubbing salt in the wound, HAVU lost the Finnish Esport League S8 final to KOVA. Now, there's another blow as hoody sets out on his own in search of somewhere else to call home.

The official HAVU blog made the announcement and confirmed hoody actually stepped down a few months ago. The teams run of mixed results is cited for the reason hoody has left, however, he is still attached to the team as a "restricted-free agent". As it stands, HAVU's lineup includes Lasse "ZOREE" Uronen, Olli "sLowi" Pitkänen, Joonas "doto" Forss, and Eetu "sAw" Saha. There's still hoody, while Taneli "disturbed" Veikkola is the coach.
Discussing hoody's departure, Lasse Salminen, CEO of HAVU Gaming, said, "I would like to thank Aaro for the one and a half year journey with us. He has been a vital piece of a puzzle and we will miss his positive attitude and godlike aim".
Hoody echoed the words of his own fans and said, "Thank you HAVU Gaming management and the team for being so supportive and fair with my decision. And thank you for the good times we had together, I will forever cherish those moments".
Hoody joined HAVU last year and racked up some pretty memorable moments in his relatively short time on the team. As well as finishing first at Vectorama 2019, he helped HAVU win at Assembly Winter 2020 and LanTrek 2020 . With his penchant for VALORANT shining through, we wish hoody all the best on his latest venture.
