"You can't just go around killing people". No problem, John Connor, The Terminator won't be going around slaying people any time soon, as he's not even allowed his gun.
The recent Terminator skin has been quite a revelation in both Warzone and Vanguard, with a wealth of players picking up the robot wrestler even though the bundle won't be carrying over to the pending Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2.
But it's not come without controversy either. Having first been criticised for not being relevant to the post-WWII setting, if that still exists in Vanguard anymore, fans remained hopeful that the only tie between The Terminator and the 1940s would arrive in the game: the Winchester 1887 Lever-Action Shotgun.
Vanguard Fans Fuming At The Terminator's Shotgun Omission
Vanguard players have been begging for some post-WWII-themed weapons for some time now, and despite Arnie's pectorals not quite being born in the trenches, his signature shotgun was.
Going into Season 4 Reloaded and with The Terminator crossover looming, fans hoped to see the Winchester 1887 added to Vanguard and Warzone. However, they've been left befuddled, as even though the developers went through the trouble to make the weapon, animate it, and even create character quips around it, they refused to add it as an actual gun.
As seen in a recent Reddit post, Arnie's shottie has been made and featured on all of his promos, but has been ditched as an in-game weapon in favour of more futuristic nonsense.
Vanguard Players Want The Terminator's Winchester 1887 Shotgun
Instead of the Winchester 1887, the exclusive weapon to the Season 4 Reloaded updated was the Vargo S submachine gun, which could have easily worked in tandem with the incoming Hollywood Lever-Action, or been pushed back to Season 5 when The Terminator bundle left the store.
"They should have made a Mastercraft Model 1887 with the T-800 that has that cool reload from the movie," said one fan. The weapon isn't amongst the Vanguard Season 5 leaked guns either. Instead, a futuristic SMG, a 1980s Assault Rifle, and an unknown fully-auto pistol will be favoured.
For the end of Vanguard's life though, you'll be darting around a free-for-all game with six Snoop Dogs and four Arnold Schwarzenegger's shooting laser-fuelled anime guns in World War 2 destruction landscapes. Confused? Same.
